The Meeting

What would have happened if Malcolm X and Dr. Martin Luther King had met before they were assassinated just three years apart?

This intriguing idea is the subject of the critically acclaimed play, The Meeting, a powerful drama about the lives, philosophies and times of these two leaders. The Meeting is an emotional, clever, and intense confrontation between Malcolm X, his hostile bodyguard, and Martin Luther King. It gives factual, but surprising, information about the two men, their commitment to human rights, and the times.

Written by Jeff Stetson, The Meeting has received a Louis B. Mayer Award, eight NAACP Theatre Awards and six New York AUDELCO nominations. It has been produced throughout the United States and Europe. As a unique tribute to Martin Luther King, The Meeting is especially timely as 2008 marks the 40th anniversary of King's un-timely passing.
